Photo by Dejah Quinn Photography.From far, from eve and morning
And yon twelve-winded sky,
The stuff of life to knit me
Blew hither: here am I.

Now—for a breath I tarry
Nor yet disperse apart—
Take my hand quick and tell me,
What have you in your heart.

Speak now, and I will answer;
How shall I help you, say;
Ere to the wind’s twelve quarters
I take my endless way.

—A. E. Housman. “A Shropshire Lad.”

I’m Chera. Some of the titles I have are teacher, librarian, gamer, singer, auntie, and cat’s human. I work in a university library’s special collections in North Texas. I have a PhD in medieval literature and a master’s in Library Science.

The purpose of this blog is to be an outlet for the thoughts in my head that – I hope – will be interesting for others. These posts might be about teaching, what I’m reading, playing, knitting, or life in general. Or about my cat. (I’m only a little obsessed.)

All photos are taken by me, unless otherwise noted.
