Propertarian

Traveling memoirs might mean interesting and exciting posts, but even better, I think, is when silence means that the traveler is sitting on a couch with a friend, both reading companionably or talking shop about books and writing. Thus was the majority of the visit with Kelly and is the beginning of my visit with Sarah (at The Serendipitous Life) here in New Mexico.

I have been chastised for being remiss on my blogging, so, before I go on to read The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin, hopefully with a kitty on my lap, I shall egoize about what edition of The Dispossessed I am reading.

Kelly got it for me. It is a most excellent gift, especially because inside there is a bookplate, and on the bookplate is:

One of the philosophies of The Dispossessed is that of minimalism, anti-materialism, but this is a book I am very, very pleased to call mine.
